I said, my name is Jovanny. And she said, “Ooh… My daughter’s name is Jovanna. You must have a good heart. Because my daughter has a good heart.”
I was kind of surprised. I didn’t say a thing. I just keep on looking at her. And she goes:
“Do you have a ‘good’ heart?”
Because no one has ever asked me that question before, I didn’t know how to answer it. Because that question isn’t suppose to be answered with just a yes or a no. Then,
Somehow I answered the question, and she started talking, saying all these wonderful things that her daughter does, and how she does it.
While she was talking, I just kept on looking at her, and the way she was talking, and how that “talk” was making her feel.
In her talk, she also mentioned that she had another child. And she said the other child wasn’t like her daughter Jovanna (That the child’s heart wasn’t like Jovanna’s).
Inside of me I was very thankful. Thankful because sometimes is very nice to ‘physically’ see, feel, or hear that there are still good people out there. But, I also was thankful for something else.
I was more thankful for witnessing with my own eyes and self (for the first time) the joy and happiness of a mother that knows deep down in her soul that her child has a good heart.
To be honest, I had lived many great moments in my life. But this one tops the charts.
You see, believe it or not, while talking with that woman I discovered that:
The greatest gift that a child can give to a parent is the gift of “having” and “transmitting” a good heart.
If you are ever looking for a great gift, don’t look far. Don’t go far.
That is your gift. That is “THE GIFT”
Today, right now is such a good day, a great moment to ask for that Gift, to get that Gift.
And the good thing about it is that Life is always there for you, so YOU can:
Ask for it.
and Enjoy it.
